Ryanair, the largest low-cost carrier in Europe, adds a new weekly flight from Lappeenranta to Milan Bergamo airport. Starting from March 2018, the service to Milan Bergamo will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Ryanair also announced in October that it will launch a new route from Lappeenranta to Athens. The route to Athens will start in May.
Located less than 50 kilometres from Milan, Bergamo was included in the route schedule from Lappeenranta a few years ago. At that time, the route enjoyed great popularity. Ryanair also offers an extensive selection of affordable connecting flights from Bergamo to several other European destinations.
“We are really happy that Ryanair introduces another weekly flight to Lappeenranta, the heart of Finland’s finest Lakeland”, says Eija Joro
, CEO of Lappeenranta Airport.
“The addition of a second weekly flight on the route gives passengers more flexibility in planning their trips. Now it is possible to take an affordable mini-break in beautiful Northern Italy, and the new flight also provides a smoother connection between St. Petersburg and Italy”, Eija Joro continues.
