The number one spot for winter sport lovers in South Karelia is the Myllymäki Ski Resort, which hosts downhill and cross country skiing, approximately 27 km from the centre of Lappeenranta. The ski resort has 6 illuminated slopes, 4 lifts and a children’s lift. It has a vertical rise of 70 metres, slope lengths of 300-600 metres, a children’s slope, cross-country ski tracks (5 km of illuminated tracks) and a sledding slope.
