Happenings in May

  • Thu 1st at 11.30 AM May Day Concert at the Pusupuisto (Kristiinankatu 2)
  • Fri 9th at 5.30 PM Lappeenranta Metal Night 2025 (K-18) at Lappeenranta Ice Stadium (Kisakatu 9) 
  • Sat 10th at 7 AM–2 PM The Seasonal Market (Lappeenranta Market Square [fin. Kauppatori]) 
  • Sun 11th at 12 AM Mother’s Day Cruise to the Lake Saimaa with m/s Camilla karelialines.fi
  • Sat 17th and Sun at 7AM – 8PM Linnoitus Open, Frisbeegolf –competion at the Fortress

Museums

  • Fri 2th of May Museum Friday, free entrance to the South Karelia Museum, Lappeenranta Art Museum and Cavalry Museum (the fortress of Lappeenranta) 
  • Sun 18th of May International Museum Day, free entrance to the Fortress Museums
    Visit the Wolkoff House Museum (Kauppakatu 26)

Lappeenranta City Orchestra

  • Thu 1st at 2 PM Rakkaudesta vappuun! (Happy May Day!)
  • Wed 7th at 7 PM Mother’s Day Concert “a Rose for Mom” by the Dragoon Band (City Hall)
  • Thu 15th at 7 PM Kesälaitumille  (Summer Pastures)

Experience the nature in May
  • Visit the cherry park when the cherry trees bloom in Pappilanpelto and visit also the Art gallery Pihatto with changing exhibitions and the renewed summer café “Pehtoorintupa” and handicraftshop (Valtakatu 80).
  • Explore Lappeenranta and rent a orange city bike. Check the closest city bike stations from Lappeenranta public transport route planner Digitransit: lappeenranta.digitransit.fi
