Sightseeing Tour

You can conveniently explore Lappeenranta by taking a sightseeing tour bus around the city.

During the approximately 40-minute tour, you'll see the highlights of summery Lappeenranta, including the historic Rakuunamäki, the fortress, and beautiful views of Lake Saimaa, all while learning about the city's history through narration and pictures.

The sightseeing tour departs from and returns to the Sandcastle. The tour operates on a Hop on - Hop off basis, meaning you can hop on and off throughout the day as you wish. Single tickets are also available.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the sightseeing tour. The bus is not wheelchair accessible, but folding strollers and walkers can be accommodated in the back of the bus.

Tickets to the Sightseeing Tour

Tickets to the sightseeing are sold at the city's tourst information points (Shopping Centre IsoKristiina and Sandcastle), where you can pay with cash or card. Payment for the bus driver is card only.

Children 7 € (Children under 6 years old ride for free, and children under 14 years old pay the child fare.)
Adults 10 €
Family ticket 24 € (2 adults + 2 children)

Single tickets

Sightseeing tour's route and stops

  1. The Sandcastle: The bus departs from next to the entrance of the Sandcastle area. Satamatie 13 A
  2. The Fortress: Catherine's square. Kristiinankatu 16
  3. Rakuunamäki: Adolf Erhnrooth's square, next to the bicycle shop Varustamo.
  4. The Market Square: Charter bus stop on Oksasenkatu by the Market Square
  5. Children's Traffic Park: Valtakatu 70 bus stop, away from the central
  6. Vanha Pappila: In front of Galleria Pihatto
  7. Myllysaari: On the parking lot next to the beach, on route to the harbour
  8. The Harbour: Taxi stand next to the Satamapuisto park, by the playground
  9. The Sandcastle: Final stop
