4. Sandcastle + Shore Pavilion

A day of new experiences
In the summer of 2018, Lappeenranta’s Sandcastle turns 15 years old and is the tallest in Finland. The Sandcastle is a suitable place to visit for people of all ages, because there are a lot of activities for both children and adults in the area. Situated in the Fortress Peninsula, the Sandcastle is a free of charge destination worth experiencing that also offers additional services. Besides bicycles, as well canoes, kayaks, SUP boards and rowing boats are available for rent. It is advised to boldly try out new experiences and spend a memorable summer day!

By walking on the pier from Sandcastle towards Harbor Square, you will get to visit Shore Pavilion. From this small viewpoint it is possible to observe the water traffic of a summer day.
